Blumaka NonSlip Insole - FAQ for Soccer Parents Who've Heard It All

Q: Why Is My Kid Faster and More Accurate?

A: It Might Be Their Insoles. Please read on.

Q: How do the benefits of Blumaka NonSlip insoles relate to Soccer Skills?

At TOCA, we recognize that what’s inside your cleats can impact how you play the game. We found Blumaka and we conducted our own testing with our elite trainers and players to see how Blumaka’s FoamLock insole technology would perform in a soccer setting. The results were undeniable: a substantial number of athletes saw over a 10% improvement in both accuracy and ball speed, simply by switching to Blumaka. We were sold. (Or should we say… Soled.)

We believe improved foot stability from insoles can lead to better soccer skills. And now we’re sharing this game-changing innovation with the entire TOCA universe.

Q: What’s the Blumaka NonSlip insole — and why is my young athlete suddenly sprinting past kids who used to toast them?

A: The NonSlip insole is a high-performance insole that stops your athlete’s foot from sliding around inside their cleats. That means better control, improved balance, hopefully fewer rolled ankles—and yes, possibly more goals and fewer complaints. Think of it as an invisible upgrade that doesn’t involve new shoes, protein powder, or TikTok training hacks.

Q: Isn’t this just another fancy insert?

A: Not even close. Most insoles are just a slab of foam. Blumaka’s NonSlip insoles feature a grippy top layer that locks onto their sock, keeping the foot firmly in place when they cut, sprint, or stop on a dime. No sliding = less wasted energy = more accurate performance and power. And here’s the bonus: they make every sock a grip sock—no need to buy pricey pairs or worry about whether they’ve been washed before game day.

Q: What are the actual benefits?

Glad you asked.

  • No more foot slip means better control
  • Fewer blisters means fewer complaints on the car ride home
  • Improved speed and stability means more confidence on the field
  • Greater lower leg stability potentially reduces the risk of injury
  • Longer cleat life means fewer unexpected “I-need-new-shoes-this-weekend” surprises
  • Bonus: They may feel so good, your young athlete might stop stealing your running shoes

Q: Will these fit in my child’s cleats?

A: Yes! Blumaka Low Profile insoles are crafted specifically for soccer cleats, offering a perfect fit. For soccer cleats, we suggest choosing a size smaller, while the standard size works best for indoor or turf soccer shoes. If your child’s size is below a US Men's 5/Women's 6, the insoles can be trimmed for a custom fit. Simply remove the old insole, place it on the Blumaka insole, trace the outline, and then cut to size.

Q: How do I use them?

A: It’s simple:

  1. Remove the sad, flattened insoles currently living in your child’s cleats.
  2. Compare the size of the old insole to the Blumaka NonSlip replacement, trim to match.
  3. Place the trimmed up Blumaka NonSlip insole in your child’s cleats.
  4. Watch your young athlete sprint like they just remembered it’s pizza night.

Q: Do they last?

A: Yes. Blumaka NonSlip insoles outlast standard insoles by 5-10 times. Professional athletes have reported wearing them for two full years, and Blumaka guarantees the cushion for 1,000 miles of use—an unprecedented guarantee for an insole. Chances are, you’ll need new cleats before you need new insoles.

Q: Why do you say that Blumaka products are “Green”?

A: Blumaka insoles, incorporate up to 85% recycled content and are made using cleaner manufacturing–near-zero water and no chemicals. Sustainability is at the forefront of all Blumaka’s endeavors as they develop products and build them to last longer.  They believe that footwear doesn't have to contribute to waste, rely on harmful chemicals, or deplete precious resources.

Q: I understand the NonSlip Benefits, but how is the cushioning?

A: World class cushioning is the hallmark of Blumaka products. Unlike generic foam insoles that wear out quickly, Blumaka uses a proprietary high-rebound foam made from 85% recycled material. This means:

  • 17% more cushioning
  • 14% higher energy return
  • 5-10x longer lifespan
  • Better shock absorption and stability

Q: Is this just for future Soccer Stars and Pro Athletes?

A: No. Pro and college athletes in a wide array of sports use them, including players in the NFL, MLB, Pro Lacrosse and NBA.  But many adults and sporty types at all levels use them in their training shoes for extra cushioning and enhanced control.

Q: So is TOCA getting me a deal on these insoles or just telling me about them?

A: The NonSlip 'FoamLock' Low Profile, Low Arch Insoles from the TOCA Merch Store reflect a 25% discount from the MSRP, and the Low Profile, Mid & High Arch Insoles reflect a 20% discount. Discounts are automatically applied at checkout.

Q: What are the downsides?

A:  In all seriousness, the biggest problem is it is more difficult to put your shoes on, because your athlete’s foot can no longer freely slide into place.  It takes a little bit of getting used to being a bit more deliberate when they put their shoes on. Use a shoe horn, open the shoes wide and try to slide the foot as far as possible without touching the sole of the foot to the insert.  They will get the hang of it.  But this small inconvenience proves the insoles are working as intended. It’s worth the extra 30 seconds it takes to put your shoes on for a 10% increase in accuracy and ball speed.
